Perspectives on Play

Playscapes is a small collection of interviewed parents and their elementary-aged children in Providence about their experiences and perspectives around play. 

Our project was centered around building a workbook that illustrates the current landscape of play across generations and a toolkit for parent and child to utilize in order to investigate it themselves. We hope the activity of imagining one’s ideal play environment will spark further shared communication about play between parent and child, while the creation of the publication will allow these stories to be shared and create a varied community around play.
